Kioti ZXC54 SE Kohler

The ZXC54 SE is KIOTI's Kohler-powered commercial configuration for a buyer who wants a 54-inch cut and substantial onboard fuel capacity. It deserves a place on a shortlist when refueling arrangements, seat fit and local service matter as much as the badge. A large tank is useful equipment, but it is not a measured runtime result.

Keep the SE identity on the quotation

The current manufacturer page identifies the SE with a 25 hp Kohler Command PRO CV742, 747cc displacement and Hydro-Gear ZT-3400 transaxles. Published forward maximum is 10 mph. The ZXC54 B&S and ZXC54 LT are separately listed engine configurations; their horsepower figures do not describe this machine.

KIOTI specifies 12.5 US gallons of fuel capacity. To assess its practical benefit, record the refueling stops in your existing routine and ask for fuel-use information relevant to the actual workload. Do not divide tank capacity by an assumed consumption rate and present the result as tested endurance.

Adjust the working position and cutting height

The equipment description includes a sliding suspension seat and armrests. Set those for the intended operator before checking the foot-operated deck lift and dial height selector. The listed cutting range is 1.5 to 5 inches; try the settings you normally use rather than choosing from the maximum alone.

Compare the commercial package and service plan

The ZXR48 is a residential reference within KIOTI, not another name for the ZXC54 SE. If your hours justify a commercial shortlist, compare a machine such as the Hustler FasTrak SDX 54 at a similar cutting width. Ask both dealers about parts identification, scheduled maintenance and collection for service.

KIOTI's published warranty table gives the ZXC series 36 months or 1,200 hours and separately lists 24 months for its transaxles. The page groups several product and use categories together, so obtain the full terms for your commercial or personal use and country. Do not borrow the tractor powertrain headline for a mower.
