Our verdict
Hustler Super Z (60-in)
Hustler's parent company built the first true zero-turn back in 1964, and the Super Z is where that experience ends up. The headline is speed, with 35 horsepower and a claimed 14 mph, though the number that actually matters is the warranty: five years and 1,200 hours, with no hour cap at all for the first two. That is Hustler betting its own money on the hydraulics. The VX4 deck keeps cut quality together at speeds where lesser decks start tearing grass. It is expensive, dealer-sold, and far too wide for a tight yard. For big open acreage, it turns a long afternoon into a short one.
