An engine-rating difference to resolve before ordering

This page covers 967984801, displayed as 967 98 48-01. Husqvarna's current US product page lists a Kawasaki FS Series engine at 23 hp; our specification field follows that listing. The linked operator manual, dated April 2024 internally, identifies FS691V and lists 22 hp nominal output. These documents do not agree on the number, and we have not established the reason.

Ask the dealer to match the engine label, serial number and applicable rating documentation to the supplied machine. Do not interpret the difference as evidence of a new engine generation or use it to predict mowing performance. The deck, Parker drive and 10 mph maximum are consistent points of comparison.

Compare the complete cutting arrangement

The documented deck uses 10-gauge fabricated steel, with foot-operated selection across 13 height positions. Published cutting height runs from 1.5 to 4.5 inches. Check the settings you use and inspect a sample cut at an appropriate pace.

The 2026 warranty statement lists the Z400 machine category at four years or 750 hours, with unlimited hours for the first two years. Its Parker HTE note separately specifies three years. Older warranty summaries can differ, so obtain the document applicable to the purchase and region.

Have the dealer show the removable floor pan and routine service access, then check seat adjustment and control reach. We have not established a model-specific suspension-seat specification from the professional-seat label alone.
