Z735M 60 is a seated mower to consider when the property can use a wide deck and the operator wants several ways to adjust seating position. Its 25 hp HTR810 engine is a specific part of the package. Do not substitute specifications from the Kawasaki-powered Z730M simply because the model names are close.

Start with the deck and drive

The Canadian Z735M specification page lists an 810cc V-twin, dual Hydro-Gear ZT-3200 transmissions and an eight-US-gallon tank. This review selects the 60-inch High-capacity PRO deck from the available widths. Published forward speed reaches 9.5 mph; acceptable mowing speed depends on the conditions and result.

The deck uses 9-gauge steel with welded reinforcement. A spring-assisted foot lift and height dial provide quarter-inch increments from 1.5 to 5 inches. Try the height you normally use and check whether the lift and dial are comfortable to operate from the adjusted seat.

The Z730M 54 is a narrower within-series comparison. The Z530R 60 offers another same-width Deere reference. Compare complete equipment and quotes rather than ranking the machines by the number in the name.

Know which direction the seat moves

Deere specifies a 22.5-inch backrest, adjustable armrests, two four-position springs and ComfortGlide fore-aft movement. The fore-aft action is distinct from vertical seat springing and from suspension at the wheels. Adjust the seat first, then check control reach throughout its movement.

Price the complete mowing setup

For the 60-inch deck, Deere lists 73.3 inches overall width with the mower and 64.8 inches with the deflector raised for storage. The latter is a storage dimension, not permission to mow with discharge protection raised. Measure the route and the turning space as well as the opening.

MulchControl and the Power Flow collection system are optional. If either is essential, obtain the compatible parts and fitted price before comparing the Z735M with another machine. The flip-up foot platform is also worth inspecting during the service walkthrough.

Our buying view: Z735M 60 suits a shortlist built around wide-deck residential work, adjustable seating and accessible routine controls.
