John Deere Q810E QuikTrak 36
The Q810E is a commercial stand-on to consider when a wide deck would complicate the route. Its 36-inch cut puts it in a different role from Deere's seated residential Z300 models. The reason to shortlist it is access and maneuvering around a particular property, rather than trying to buy the largest mower available.
A small cut with commercial equipment
Deere's Canadian specifications list a 19 gross hp Kawasaki FX600V, separate 10cc hydraulic pumps and 196cc wheel motors, plus an oil cooler. The two-blade deck is fabricated from 7-gauge steel on a floating mount. Published cutting height runs from 1.5 to 5 inches, with an 8 mph maximum forward speed.
The manufacturer's equipment schedule identifies Q810E under order code 23A0TC and lists a cushioned leaning pad. That document supports the configuration, not a current selling price. Obtain a quote for the actual mower, accessories and delivery in your local currency.
Measure beyond the 36-inch deck label
Deere lists 49.5 inches with the chute down. Consequently, a nominal 36-inch gate is not established as suitable by the deck size. Check the approved travel configuration, actual opening and space for approaching and turning. The gate-width guide explains what to measure before arranging a demonstration.
A narrower cutting swath also means more passes across a broad, open area. Walk the route and identify where small size would help enough to offset that extra work. We have not measured job times or turf disturbance on this machine.
Try the controls in your normal routine
Use the dealer demonstration to assess hand position, control reach, the leaning pad and repeated stops. A standing position can suit one operator and become tiring for another. Our standing-versus-seated comparison offers a consistent way to compare those routines.
The Gravely Compact-Pro 34 is a useful seated alternative to discuss when a compact commercial machine is the goal. Compare complete operating widths and support arrangements rather than treating the two deck numbers as the whole decision.
Our buying view: Q810E deserves consideration for commercial work that rewards a smaller footprint. Deere publishes 36 months or 1,200 hours, with no hour limit in the first 24 months; confirm the complete applicable policy. Research checked October 13, 2026. No field-tested productivity or comfort claim is made.
Our ZT Score
7.6/10 — our research-based editorial assessment using the ZeroTurn scoring method.
- Cut quality (30%): 7.8/10. The floating 7-gauge deck and documented height range are useful equipment, while finish and contour following remain untested.
- Build & durability (25%): 8.0/10. Separate hydraulic components, oil cooler and heavy deck construction support the assessment without proving service life.
- Comfort (20%): 7.0/10. A cushioned leaning pad earns credit; no personal ride assessment establishes all-day comfort.
- Value (15%): 7.3/10. The compact commercial format can solve an access problem, subject to a quote and the extra passes needed on open areas.
- Ease of use (10%): 7.8/10. The digital meter and control reference bars are practical, but working width and individual control reach need checking.
Provisional research-based editorial assessment of the documented configuration, not a hands-on test. Cut finish, fatigue, fuel use and durability have not been measured by ZeroTurn. Reliable model-specific owner consensus and delivered US or Canadian dealer quotes were not established. Value depends on the intended jobs, complete equipment quotation and local service support.
