Our verdict
Gravely ZT XL 60
The ZT XL 60 is a lot of deck for the money, and the build backs it up. You get a 60-inch X-Factor fabricated deck straight off Gravely's commercial line and a one-piece welded frame rather than the bolted sections cheaper machines use, which is what keeps a wide deck cutting level over rough acreage. The seat sits on isolation mounts with padded armrests for comfort on longer mows. It only manages 7 mph, there is no real suspension, and it is dealer-sold. For someone with three or more open acres who wants a wide fabricated deck without paying commercial prices, it is one of the better value picks here.
