Exmark Lazer Z S-Series 60 Kohler EFI
Lazer Z S 60 EFI is a commercial side-discharge mower for buyers who value a conventional seated layout, unitized hydraulic drive and accessible service points. Exact configuration matters because engine, deck and operator-support alternatives share the S-Series name.
Start with LRS749AKC604A1
The model-specific listing identifies a 26.5 hp Kohler ECV749 EFI engine and a 60-inch UltraCut Series 4 side-discharge deck. This selected version has a suspension seat; a separate suspension-platform option should not be assumed to be included.
Exmark's 2025 S-Series specification sheet identifies dual Parker unitized pump and wheel-motor systems with 12cc pumps. It also lists the 12-US-gallon tank and ten-mph maximum. Compare the Lazer Z E 60 by its own equipment rather than transferring an E-Series description onto this S model.
Look at the deck's service routine
The Series 4 deck uses sealed spindle bearings, and Exmark describes deck and hydro belts that can be removed without tools. Ask the dealer to demonstrate the approved access procedure with the machine safely prepared. These conveniences are relevant to ownership, but the entire mower still requires scheduled inspection and maintenance.
The digital display provides fuel, voltage and hour information. Learn which indications require action before taking delivery. A display can help communicate machine status; it does not diagnose every possible fault or replace the manual.
Match discharge and operator equipment to the work
The same family includes rear-discharge machines, which use a different deck. If clipping direction affects the route, compare complete configurations using our discharge guide. Do not assume a side-discharge mower becomes a rear-discharge machine by adding a cover.
Have the suspension seat adjusted for the operator, then check steering and lift-pedal reach. Ask which collection, mulching or deck-adjustment accessories fit the exact model. Equipment shown on a demonstration unit should appear explicitly on the quote if it is part of the purchase.
The US/Canada warranty provides five years/1,250 hours, with no hour limit during the first two years and separate engine coverage. Our buying view: shortlist this configuration for commercial work where its EFI engine, hydraulic layout and service access are useful. Confirm the installed deck and support equipment before judging the total price. Research checked October 20, 2026.
Our ZT Score
8.2/10 — our research-based editorial assessment using the ZeroTurn scoring method.
- Cut quality (30%): 8.3/10. UltraCut Series 4 equipment supports the assessment; actual finish is untested.
- Build & durability (25%): 8.3/10. Unitized Parker drive and fabricated deck support commercial capability without a longevity guarantee.
- Comfort (20%): 8.2/10. Selected suspension seat provides operator support; a separate suspension platform is not credited.
- Value (15%): 7.6/10. The equipment and coverage can suit commercial work, conditional on the delivered price and dealer support.
- Ease of use (10%): 8.2/10. Digital status information and belt access aid ownership; required service and accessory checks remain.
Provisional research-based editorial assessment of documented equipment, not a hands-on test. We have not measured cut finish, comfort, fuel use or service life. Reliable model-specific owner consensus and comparable delivered US/Canadian quotes were not established. Value depends on the complete configuration, workload and local support.
