Our verdict
Dixie Chopper Eagle HP 3560KW (60-in)
Dixie Chopper calls itself the world's fastest lawn mower, and the Eagle HP is where that claim stops being marketing. A two-speed ZT-5400 lets it run to 18 mph, which sounds absurd until you have four acres and one free Saturday. The deep 7-gauge deck chews through grass that bogs lesser machines, and the springer fork and suspension seat mean the speed is usable rather than punishing. It is expensive, dealer-only, and far too much mower for a normal lawn. On a big open property where mowing is a chore to be finished rather than enjoyed, few machines shorten the job like this one.
