Our verdict
Bad Boy Maverick HD 60
Bad Boy calls the Maverick HD its entry-level pro, and the label fits. It steps up from the homeowner Maverick with genuine commercial ZT-3400 drives, a heavier drive shaft, and the same heavy-duty spindles found on Bad Boy's R-Series machines, so the parts that wear are built for hours rather than weekends. Independent front suspension and run-flat tyres make the ride better than the price suggests. The base warranty is a short two years, and Bad Boy will not ship to California. For a new landscaper or an acreage owner who wants pro drivetrain without a five-figure price, it is a strong entry.
