Our verdict
Altoz XC 610 Z
Altoz is best known for tracked mowers, but the XC is its wheeled heavy-duty commercial machine, and it is built for speed and durability. A 35 HP Kawasaki EFI engine and a two-range drive push it to a genuine turn of pace, the Aero Deck uses a thick laminated-steel top with aluminum spindle housings to cut cleanly and shrug off abuse, and a 12-way adjustable suspension seat keeps you comfortable through it. Onboard monitoring flags problems before they bite. It is priced as a premium commercial tool and sold through a smaller dealer network. For a contractor covering large, open ground who wants to finish fast without beating themselves up, it is a seriously capable machine.
