- +Folding ROPS fitted as standard for slope safety
- +4-year / 300-hour warranty, far better than the Z325E
Worth knowing

- −A 60-inch deck is too wide for tight or gated yards
Our verdict
John Deere Z530M (60-in)
The Z530M is the John Deere you buy when the Z325E is not quite enough mower. The upgrades are the ones that matter: a 60-inch Accel Deep deck that cuts cleanly at speed, a ComfortGlide suspension seat, and a folding ROPS, all standard rather than optional. The 4-year warranty is far more reassuring than the 200-hour cover on the cheaper Deere. It is not cheap, and Deere parts never are, but you are buying a genuinely comfortable, capable machine with a dealer on every corner. For two or more acres with obstacles, it is easy to live with.
