This review covers Gravely ZT HD 44 model 991266, as documented in Gravely's 2022 specification sheet. It is a configuration reference for comparing an identified machine, particularly older stock or a used purchase. Match the number to the hardware

The Gravely factory specification sheet hosted by a dealer pairs 991266 with a 21.5 hp, 726cc Kawasaki FR651V, Hydro-Gear ZT-3100 transaxles and a 44-inch X-Factor 3 deck made from 10-gauge steel. Do not substitute a newer series description for those model-specific details.

Compared with the ZT HD 52, the narrower cutting pass and smaller engine rating create a distinct option for divided residential lawns. That comparison does not prove either machine will finish a particular property faster.

Allow for the chute and the whole footprint

The specification lists 47.6 inches without the chute and 58.8 inches with it, along with a 79-inch length and 794-pound machine weight. The without-chute figure is not permission to mow with discharge protection removed, and it does not automatically describe an approved transport arrangement.

Measure the actual unit in the configuration permitted by its manual. Include fitted attachments when planning storage and trailer loading. A 44-inch cutting width alone gives a misleading impression of the space required.

Inspect adjustment and operator support

A foot lift selects 15 cutting positions from 1.5 to five inches. The sheet lists a high-back seat with isolation and padded armrests, while a suspension seat appears among the optional accessories. Seat isolation should therefore not be advertised as the optional suspension-seat package.

Check which seat is actually installed and whether the lift, height positions and control adjustments work correctly. On a used mower, documented equipment is only the starting point; the used-mower inspection checklist helps organize condition and service-history checks.

Separate original coverage from coverage today

The sheet lists four years/500 hours of warranty and refers buyers to the dealer for terms. That historical specification does not establish a used unit's remaining coverage or transfer eligibility. Confirm the original purchase date, hour reading and applicable warranty directly.
