Our verdict
Ferris ISX 2200 (60-in)
Ferris invented suspension for zero-turns, and the ISX 2200 is the argument for paying for it. The ForeFront system uses control rods and shocks at all four corners to keep the wheels planted, which on rough commercial ground is the difference between finishing a route and finishing it aching. The Vanguard EFI engine with Oil Guard pushes oil changes out to 500 hours, real time saved on a busy schedule, and Ferris backs the suspension for five years. It costs more than the belt-drive ISX 800 and it is dealer-sold. If your body is your business and you mow all day, this is the comfort benchmark.
