Altoz TSX 561i 61 Finish Cut
The TSX 561i Finish Cut brings together a stand-on operator position and a tracked drive. It is a specialist alternative to a conventional wheeled mower, not an automatic upgrade for every lawn. Start by establishing whether the platform, cutting-height range and tracked layout suit the actual route and your local service support.
Part 1055245 identifies the finish-cut version
Altoz's 2026 specification sheet separates 1055245 Finish Cut from 1055246 All-terrain. Both are called TSX 561i, but they do not have the same deck construction, blades or upper cutting-height limit.
The selected Finish Cut version uses a 61-inch Aero deck with three blades and laminated 10- and 7-gauge steel. Its height range is 2.5 to six inches in quarter-inch steps, with manual deck lift. If your normal lawn specification calls for a cut below 2.5 inches, this documented configuration does not cover it. Do not substitute the all-terrain model's six-blade specification into this review.
Examine the tracked operator platform
The 852cc Kawasaki FX EFI engine is rated at 29.5 hp. Hydro-Gear PR 16cc pumps work with Parker TF 195cc wheel motors, and the Finish Cut package uses 10-by-72-inch Turf TerraFlex tracks. The front suspension, rear torsion axle and adjustable coil-spring-over-gas-shock rider platform are documented equipment; their presence does not prove comfort on your property.
Ask for a trained demonstration on an appropriate area and assess the standing position and steering adjustment. Tracks do not make every slope, surface or manoeuvre suitable. Follow the exact operator manual and have uncertain terrain assessed rather than treating track traction as a safety guarantee.
Check access and support before choosing it
The specification sheet lists 62.5 inches of width with the chute up and 75 inches of length. Confirm the equipped dimensions, transport requirements and turning space with the dealer. The stand-on-versus-sit-down guide helps frame the operator-position choice; the seated Altoz TRX 766i is a different tracked platform, not another name for this machine.
The warranty headline needs care: one year of manufacturer coverage is separate from two years/unlimited hours for the transmission and three years/unlimited hours for the engine. Obtain the complete applicable terms. Our provisional assessment recognizes the deck and adjustable tracked platform, while leaving turf response, ride and value to a representative demonstration and an itemized local quote.
Our ZT Score
7.9/10 — our research-based editorial assessment using the ZeroTurn scoring method.
- Cut quality (30%): 8.0/10. Aero finish deck has documented construction and adjustment; 2.5-inch minimum limits low-cut use.
- Build & durability (25%): 8.3/10. Separate pumps, wheel motors and reinforced deck support the hardware assessment; life unmeasured.
- Comfort (20%): 7.8/10. Adjustable suspended standing platform supports fit; ride and standing tolerance are untested.
- Value (15%): 7.2/10. Specialist tracked layout may suit specific work, but local costs and benefits are unverified.
- Ease of use (10%): 7.6/10. Adjustable controls and keyless start offer convenience; manual lift and tracked handling require familiarization.
Provisional research-based editorial judgement, not a hands-on test. We have not measured cut quality, ride, productivity or service life. Model-specific owner consensus and comparable delivered US/Canadian prices were not established. Value depends on the application, equipment and local support.
